  • Write to Change Foundation

The Write to Change Foundation (WTC), a family foundation launched in 1994, works with individuals and organizations in South Carolina and beyond:

WTC provides opportunities and support for young people who are in need of resources and their adult mentors and allies to use writing, the arts, digital media, local collaborative work, and advocacy-focused networking to create equitable, healthy, safe neighborhoods and communities. Young people, who are experienced and innovative users of social media for connecting and working remotely across difference and distance, bring skills and creativity to facilitating and networking WTC-supported initiatives.

WTC seeks to raise public awareness and influence policy and practice when it comes to recognizing that young people with limited resources are influencers with perspectives, knowledge, skills, and insights for meaningful change locally and beyond. Youth are essential allies in achieving a non-racist, equitable, society.
